Downtown Iowa City

The Downtown Association (DTA) approached us in August of 2009 with the desire to create a rich and vibrate resource for everyone interested in learning about Downtown Iowa City. 

Features & Functionality

They wanted a website with a full suite of functionality including a robust events calendar, an effective business directory - complete with Google Maps integration - and general information about the Downtown area.  We also needed a user-friendly system that would allow business owners to submit their events and update their business listing with store hours, organization descriptions and photos.

On top of all of that, this website also needed a modern aesthetic that would appeal to a large variety of visitors and would effectively re-brand Downtown Iowa City.  To say the least, we had a great project with a lot of challenges in our hands.

The Final Result

DowntownIowaCity.com is by far the most technologically advanced website that Small Dot has created to date. The project had plenty of challenges to overcome, but we enjoyed every minute of it! We are extremely proud of this project and had a fantastic time working with the DTA of Iowa City
