Dulcet Style

Dulcet Style provides image consulting, wardrobe assistance, and personal shopping services.  Owners, Tracy & Kerry believe that feeling good and looking good on the outside, gives you confidence and makes you feel great on the inside. They strive to be a resource for all women. Tracy & Kerry believe that all women can look and feel beautiful, no matter what their size.

Personal Consulting on a Global Scale

Dulcet Style started their business focused on personal image consulting services.  This was great for helping women in their area, but they wanted to be able to provide their consulting services to others no matter where they lived. 

Dulcet Style created a series of digital products that would give women access to personalized Dulcet Style advice from the comfort of their own home.  The only thing missing was an efficient way to sell and distribute these digital products.  Enter Small Dot Studios.

E-Commerce... And Then Some

When Dulcet Style first approached us with their e-commerce requirements, we were very excited.  We knew the project wouldn't be easy, but we were up for the challenge.

The first requirement was to create an easy-to-use and secure shopping cart system.  By deploying a checkout process utilizing the PayPal API, we were able to deliver a seamless integrated e-commerce solution that is consistent with the overall website design.

The Digital Product Challenge

Selling the digital products was only half the story.  In order to give each customer a personalized experience, many of the products have a survey associated with them.  The surveys are used to determine the customer's unique personality or color type.  The results are used to instantly deliver personalized style and shopping guides.

We also had to balance the customer's need to easily access their digital products with the need to prevent unauthorized access of the digital products.  We created a simple login system that generates and emails a simple password to the customer once they purchase a digital product.  The login system allows the customer easily retrieve their digital product while significantly reducing unauthorized access.  Everyone wins.

The Final Result

Dulcet Style approached us looking for a complex shopping cart system featuring both digital and physical products.  We were able to deliver an easy-to-use and secure e-commerce solution that met all of their requirements.

Working with Tracy and Kerry of Dulcet Style was a great experience.  They brought a lot of fun and energy to the project. 

We will always be thankful to them for giving us the opportunity to create our first e-commerce website.
