Local Harvest Supply

Local Harvest Supply offers growers and consumers a local foods distribution network that is both consistent and reliable.  You can think of it as Iowa's largest farmers market.  LHS works with local farmers to provide local foods to restaurants, hospitals, schools & even directly to the general public.

A Fresh Company Needs A Fresh Design

When we began working with Local Harvest Supply they were just starting out - the concept of LHS had only been around for a few months.  We worked with LHS to create a comprehensive internet marketing strategy that would highlight all aspects of their company. 

The biggest challenge was focusing Local Harvest Supply's message and determining what information was truly important.  First and foremost, was showing everyone where exactly the food comes from.

From Farm to Fork

Local Harvest Supply works directly with local farmers throughout Iowa to provide fresh meat & produce on a wholesale level.  We wanted to highlight the partnerships that LHS has with all of its growers in a visually striking way.  This resulted in a Google Map based Grower Directory.

We also wanted to show the amazing variety of meat and produce available for purchase in real time.  The Current Inventory System integrates seamlessly with Local Harvest Supply's existing system software to provide accurate inventory updates everyday.

The Final Result

What can we say... this is one of our most favorite projects to date.  This website had everything - compelling design, useful technology, & tons of bells & whistles - including a blog & twitter feed on the homepage.  Local Harvest Supply now has a great website to match their great business concept.
