Small Dot Studios was founded in August of 2008 with the focus of creating websites that look great, function well, and are easy to maintain.  We provide modern web design and development solutions as well as website analysis and print design.

Web technology and graphic design trends are changing constantly.  We are continually retraining ourselves in the latest design and development techniques. 

This allows us to create websites that utilize the industry's best practices and the latest design styles.  The result are websites that not only function well, but look like they're from 2009 - not 1999.

Sam thinks that technology is totally cool. However, he understands that there is usually a human interacting with that technology. He strives to make sure that the solutions he develops are usable by people and computers alike.

Sam has been doing professional web design for over 6 years.  He specializes in front-end website technologies like (X)HTML, CSS & jQuery, but is also proficient with back-end technologies like PHP and MySQL.

In 2006, Sam earned a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa.

Doug is the guy who makes your site look pretty. A majority of his life is spent in Photoshop but he justifies this investment of time by creating top notch designs for clients who haven't had the joy of working with people-friendly design companies.

Doug's roots in design run deep. He's been creating in some way, shape or form for most his life, but has focused his work on web design over the past 6 years. His designs revolve around both form and function, paving the way for user friendly, good looking sites.

In 2005, Doug earned is B.F.A. with an emphasis on Graphic Design and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa.
